Nearly 15 years ago (!) production of The Philosophers Stone began, with the casting team charged with sifting through thousands of British kids in order to find the perfect cast.
That cast would go on to make 8 films grossing over $7.7 billion worldwide! Cha-ching.
You know Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are still making it rain, but what about all the rest of Hogwarts?
Neville Longbottom (played by Matthew Lewis)
From tubby cheeks to a chisled jaw, Neville’s changes are probably the most shocking. All that time in herbology turned Matthew Lewis into a mint bloke. At the moment he’s hitting up the stage, screen and TV, with a new movie due out in 2016.
Luna Lovegood (played by Evanna Lynch)
Everyones favourite weirdo, Evanna Lynch smashed it with her work as Luna in the four films she starred in. And who doesn’t love an Irish accent. Since HP, she’s been performing on stage throughout the UK and taken a spot on the Board of Advisors for the Harry Potter Alliance, and non-profit organisation of Harry Potter fans.
Ginny Weasley (played by Bonnie Wright)
Like a fine wine Ginny has aged well, looking pretty hot at age 24. There’s hope yet gingers worldwide! Bonnie Wright has carved out a pretty nice niche in film after HP; acting, writing and directing in multiple film projects.
Fred and George Weasley (played by James & Oliver Phelps)
Finding work as twins must be pretty hard (The Parent Trap 2 with Lindsay Lohan maybe). Fred & George have managed to keep work in multiple projects, but we all know where they’d fit best: tour guides at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park! I’d pay big bucks for that.
Cedric Diggory (played by some vampire guy)
Can’t remember him as Cedric, but boy do I remember him in Twilight. Sparkle sparkle.
Draco Malfoy (played by Tom Felton)
Probably the most underrated character in the HP series, Tom Felton was dead on as the conniving Malfoy. He looks like a really nice guy in real life though. He’s been pretty busy post-HP, starring in multiple Hollwood films since the series ended.
Percy Weasley (played by Chris Rankin)
Hey, we can’t all be beautiful.
