Otis Johnson was only 25 at the time he was handed down a 44-year sentence for the attempted murder of a policeman.

Fast forward to his release at the ripe old age of 69 and you can imagine a lot has changed since then. Al Jazeera decided to film Johnson and document his thoughts as he enters back into society.

The film centers around New York and he has a lot to say on how society has changed since he was jailed.

A big take away from the piece is that people walk around with wires in their ears and don’t look where they are going anymore – yeah we’ve noticed that too.
